As a result of this commitment to the health and wellness of its employees, CHA was selected as one of the Albany Business Review’s 2020 Healthiest Employers in New York’s Capital Region. The Healthiest Employers awards honor companies who go above and beyond to make employee wellness a priority.
More than 88% of CHA’s staff is involved in some part of our wellness and health programs. CHA works to foster the health and well-being of its employees through its wellness reimbursement program, healthy options at company gatherings as well as in vending machines, 401(k) advisory sessions, onsite biometric and flu clinics, flexible work arrangements, programs supporting mental health, and a variety of team competitions and events promoting health.
In its announcement of the winners, the Albany Business Review notes that “The 30 companies being honored this year aren't just now thinking about their workers' health. Our honorees have spent years focusing on wellness in the office — and the tangible benefits of those efforts, particularly when it comes to recruiting and retaining talent.” Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a virtual celebration of the honorees and a keynote address on workplace wellness was hosted online by the Albany Business Review.
