CHA is pleased to announce that the Interstate 87 Exit 6 Bridge Reconstruction Project has been named "Project of the Year" by the Upstate New York Chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE).
The origins of this project date back to 1990, when a review of the bridge’s inspection report indicated that the bridge needed to be replaced. The bridge carries Routes 2 and 7 over Interstate 87 in Latham, New York.
CHA led the consultant team retained by the New York State Department of Transportation to provide final design services for this project. The design was completed and contract plans were produced under an eight-month accelerated schedule.
