CHA’s interior designers handled the furnishings specs and contracts for the new judicial center. Working with the building architects and occupants, we determined furnishings needs, quantities, and quality levels. The furnishings budget was allocated for staff and public spaces, testing durability, coordinating colors and materials with building finishes, and overseeing installation.
Work included all freestanding furnishings, including office, conference, courtroom furniture and fixed seating, systems furniture and storage for the clerk’s office, flexible and stackable furniture for jury assembly and deliberation rooms, and beautiful benches designed to complement the dignity of courthouse lobbies.
CHA provided interior furnishings for 86,000 square feet of space.
The judicial center contains seven courtrooms.
The center is a three-story building with a mezzanine.
