Folsom Road Elevated Water Storage Tank Rehabilitation

The City of Boonville rehabilitated the Folsom Road (North) elevated water storage tank to extend the life of a critical asset serving the northeast community. The tank is vital for maintaining system pressure, supporting fire protection, and providing reliable water storage. CHA addressed age-related deterioration in the tank’s protective coating systems.

The project included complete surface preparation and repainting of both interior and exterior coatings to restore corrosion protection and meet current industry standards. Additional work included inspecting and repairing access hatches, ladders, vents, safety devices, and overflow components to enhance operational safety and reliability.

This rehabilitation has extended the asset’s useful life, improved water quality protection, and reduced long-term maintenance needs, reflecting the city’s proactive approach to asset management.
