Sanford Instructional Center
Sanford Instructional Center was created to help bridge the gap between education and industry, giving students a direct pathway to high-demand careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. Working with York County Community College, CHA helped plan a state-of-the-art welding and fabrication training facility where students can gain hands-on experience using industry-standard equipment in an environment that mirrors the workplace.
The center's impact reaches far beyond its walls. Partnerships with local schools, employers, and organizations such as the Sanford Regional Technical Center and the Maine Defense Industry Alliance help connect students to internships, certifications, college pathways, and employment opportunities. By aligning training with the needs of regional employers, the center helps students build practical skills while supporting workforce development and economic growth across southern Maine.
Today, the Sanford Instructional Center serves as both a learning environment and a workforce pipeline, preparing students for rewarding careers while helping local industries build the talent they need for the future.
