CHA completed a comprehensive master plan for the Callan Drive Recreation Park, transforming approximately 57 acres into a vibrant, multi-use community destination. The site includes previously disturbed lands along with adjacent wooded acreage featuring natural topography, scenic views, and unique rock formations. The master plan integrates these diverse conditions into a cohesive design that balances active recreation with passive open space and environmental stewardship. Core program elements include regulation baseball, softball, and soccer fields; a music and gathering space; an inclusive playground; trails and connections to surrounding neighborhoods; picnic areas; parking; restrooms; and support facilities.
Designed for phased implementation, the plan, unanimously adopted by the town council, establishes a framework for incremental development that delivers immediate community benefit while allowing for long-term expansion as funding becomes available.
57 acres are available for community use.
Four ballfields included in the plan.
