Keith Valley Middle School

Faced with an aging middle school that no longer met the district's educational and operational needs, the community chose to reimagine the campus from the ground up while keeping school operations running throughout construction.

Serving as the district's Owner's Representative from feasibility through occupancy, CHA helped guide the planning, budgeting, design, and construction of the new 280,000 SF Keith Valley Middle School, which opened in 2025. Built on the site of the existing school, the project required careful coordination within an active school campus and surrounding residential neighborhood. Throughout the process, CHA worked closely with district leadership and the design and construction teams to manage costs, evaluate alternatives, and maintain project momentum. Through value engineering efforts, the team identified more than $2 million in construction savings while preserving the district's vision for the new school.

Designed to support learning, collaboration, and community engagement, the new facility features a welcoming Commons, flexible auditorium, gymnasium, eight-lane swimming pool, District Administration offices, Board meeting room, and three academic floors organized into learning teams. Following completion of the new building, the former school was removed to make way for new athletic fields, completing the transformation of the campus into a modern educational destination.
