Education

Palmer Elementary School

Palmer Elementary School was created as part of a larger vision to provide Easton Area School District students with a learning environment that reflects the way children learn today. The original 1950s-era school had served the community for generations, but its sprawling layout, aging materials, and site circulation challenges made it increasingly difficult to support modern educational practices. As planning for a replacement school moved forward, students were temporarily relocated to the lower level of the district's middle school, emphasizing the importance of delivering a new facility on schedule.

After evaluating multiple locations, the district selected a new site nestled within the Palmer Township community, creating opportunities for stronger connections between the school and its surrounding neighborhoods. The new elementary school was thoughtfully designed to support collaboration, safety, and day-to-day efficiency while responding to the site's challenging topography and future community improvements.

Designed to support both current and future educational needs, the school features flexible learning environments, efficient building systems, and community-focused spaces that enhance the student experience. Sustainability also played a central role in the project. Working alongside the district, CHA supported grant funding efforts and guided the project through the LEED Gold certification process, helping create a high-performance school that reflects the district's commitment to environmental stewardship and long-term value.
