For years, Nathan Hale-Ray High School was one of only two high schools in Connecticut without a track complex, limiting opportunities for student-athletes and preventing the school from hosting competitions on its own campus.
The new athletic complex changed that. Designed around a six-lane, 400-meter competition track, the facility provides everything needed to host regional track and field events, including dedicated jumping and throwing venues, upgraded LED sports lighting, and a new support building. At its center, a synthetic turf field serves the school's soccer programs while creating additional space for recreational leagues, community events, and year-round activities.
More than an athletic facility, the project created a shared community asset. Today, the complex serves students, athletes, families, and residents alike, giving East Haddam a modern venue for competition, recreation, and community gathering while establishing a lasting source of pride for the town.
