The U.S. Embassy compound in Bujumbura is a secure, high-performance diplomatic facility designed to support critical operations in a complex global environment. To protect personnel and infrastructure while meeting stringent federal requirements, the project required a reliable, fully integrated fire suppression system aligned with advanced security and resilience standards.
CHA provided full fire suppression system design, materials, and commissioning services under a design-build contract with Caddell Construction. The system integrates seamlessly with the embassy’s broader network of security, communications, and information systems, enabling coordinated performance across the campus. Careful attention was given to system reliability, redundancy, and constructability to support uninterrupted operations in a high-security setting.
CHA delivered a cohesive, high-performance solution tailored to the unique demands of an international diplomatic facility. The project also achieved LEED Gold certification, reflecting a strong commitment to sustainability alongside mission-critical functionality.
